Vieux Flandre -- a combination of handmade bobbin lace motifs in a needle lace ground, worked in the same basic technique as the ground in Alencon needle lace. Note how the clothwork forming the design is similar to weaving, and how threads turn into the raised woven edge along some parts of the design.
