Polka Spider Webs
In the 30's and 40's this lace was also known as Polka spiderweb Lace.
These Circular patterns are usually made on a "loom" of wood or plastic.
They are made with a needle as seen in photo below.
Originally the thread and designs were very fine but first half of the 20th century when the style of lace was revived with a larger thread it became very popular.
There are antique wheels made from wood. Some wheels from the period are made from rubber and plastic.

Two examples of the Polka Spider webs shown on the right.
There is a strong similarity to the Tenerife Lace from the Canary Islands and Nanduti lace of Paraguay
