How to tell the difference between Machine lace and Bobbin Lace

Bobbin Lace Bobbin lace is woven by hand using "bobbins"  to cross and twist the threads.

Machine Lace some machines also weave in a knitted pattern as seen above but it is still only horozontal and vertical across the lace.
