Lori Howe's
Lacemaking experiences
When I was in high school (in the 60's) one of the nuns tatted.  I was very interested but never asked her to teach me.  Then 25 years later a tatting class was offered in town and I took it. What fun! Little did I know but I was making lace!

My fourth project- a tiny hankie- and my first joining-ugh!
But I love it anyway!

I went to my first class/workshop!
I made this Bruges flower lace motif.
The teacher was Jeannette van Ord.
Here we are! We had lot's of fun!

Here's the proof! It's me and Jeannette!

I really enjoy
Bruges Flower Lace.

In January 2000 I took a class with Holly VanScriver and she showed me how to make Bedfordshire. I had chosen a pattern that was a little advanced for a complete Beds beginner but here it is! I'm pretty pleased with it.

Now I've chosen a little simpler piece in Beds with lots of leaves! It's from the Underwood Beds Lace book of 20 lessons. It's lesson 5.
I only made about 12 inches of this little lace. It is shown on right--->
