Cluny Tatting
This unusual style of tatting, dating to the early twentieth century, with little petal shaped wheatears or tallies added to the traditional tatting stitches. The little petals or wheatears were used in almost all Cluny bobbin lace (designs for that took their inspiration from early Italian bobbin laces which also used the wheatears/tallies) Thus, this style of tatting adds "Cluny" to its name.
