Rosaline lace was named thus to distinguish it from others without it's destinct style.
The clothwork trails are often decorated with holes and the trails also are edged with a distinct looped edge, almost like picots.
This edge is sometimes called a winkie pin edge.
Rosaline lace often also has small rings which are found in the center of flowers.
This lace is referred to as Rosaline Perlée.
