There is a lot of controversy about the source
of Point d'Angleterre. The most commonly held thought is that it was
made
in Belgium and named as an English lace
so it could be sold in England
despite the import restrictions.
This lace is a mixed lace,
predominately bobbin lace with
only a few needlelace details.
