Idrian Lace

One of the most popular of laces from Slovinia is from the town of Idrija.
There is some evidence it began in the region in 17th century it appears to have been re-introduced in 1876.
It is made from handmade ribbons of clothwork lace connected while working the lace (not afterwards like battenburg)
It is only reciently known in the US and is scarce at this time.
