Duchesse - bobbin lace mid 1800's to today
This is a non-contiguous lace. The design is made in sections and linked together by "sewings" and "bars"  while it  is created. (not after like Honiton)
Duchesse was developed from Brussels bobbins lace in a larger format and thread, to speed up production. It is one of the most popular laces still made today.

Withof Duchesse
a finer version which appears to be a cross between
Honiton and Duchesse.
