Small fragment of fine machine net with appliqués of 19th century
Brussels bobbin lace. Motifs all are well formed and in excellent condition
This would make a great study sample, or the motifs could be reapplied
to another net or fabric and reused on a bridal veil, or could be used
to repair other larger veils or shawls. Needlework filling stitches suggest
it is Brussels, not English. |
