Argentan - Needlelace (early to mid 18th century)
Distinguished by the fine background mesh of hexagons covered with tiny buttonhole stitches. 
(Larger sitiches are found in Venetian needlelace)
Also tiny holes decorate the clothwork of the more solid areas of the designwork. Sort of like those found in HolliePoint lace.
