Bookmarks by Gisela Noll from Horb, Germany.
Such torchon designs were worked in a part of Southern Germany 150 years ago and 
were used in bobbin lace for clothes and bed linen.

Lobelia Bookmark, pg. 53 in The Bobbin Lace Manual, by Geraldine Stott. This is the third piece that Skye Weber (an extreme beginner) has had pinned on her pillow - practice and otherwise. Thus, this Rose Ground and spiders are her first attempts. Thread: Perle Coton, #12, in blue-gray.
