"I made Pauline a tatted bookmark in thanks, and the tail of the bookmark was a ring and chain pattern with another chain on top of the rings. The rings are not attatched to each other, just the top and bottom chains. It was made in size 30 thread. Then I decided to take the tail, add a few beads, and use that as the edging. Now, if I had to do it again, I probably would have left the top chain off, as that made it hard to gather. It would have been much easier to just sew the tops of the rings to the heart, adjusting spacing for the gathering. Oh, well, live and learn. I will enjoy this pincushion on my bobbin lace pillow. " I must admit I didn't make
my lace. It was part of some LePuy I bought on ebay. There was a lage piece
of this lace and a short one just the right length for my pinchshion. They
arrived in the mail the same day so I knew they wanted to be together."

"I chose a design based on the pattern 'Little Heart of Denmark' because my heart goes out to Paulines for her generosity in making and sending all these gifts to Arachnians everywhere. The edging was made with black 50 cotton, DMC Fil d'Or edge passives, Kreinik fine braid as a gimp round the hearts and workers in the hearts of fine red metallic and black machine thread, make unknown.
